I've got a set of documents that have been secured in my site using Repository Module. And I'm sending out an email with links to these documents. When a user clicks the link in the email, they get a generic error message. I'd like to customize this error message, which right now just says "You Do Not Have Permission To View The Requested File". Preferably, I'd like to have the site log-in screen come up, then guide users through the process of logging in, and finally route them to the document they were interested in.

Does anyone know what I need to do to set this up?

Instead of including links directly to the files in your email, could your email just include a link to the page where you have the Repository module? Then you could have text on the page instructing them to logon first in order to be able to download the secure documents.

That's what I tried to convince my client to do, but they would prefer to link directly to the PDF's. Is there anyway to edit the code that displays that error message? Or perhaps another way that I just can't see?

Thanks in advance...

Did you find a way to do it? I have the same problem and i am not sure how to make the users log in before they can view the PDF document. Let me know if you got a solution. Thanks
