I am using the standard DNN login module. If a user is locked out, the message advises them to request a password reminder. However, any attempt to to request the reminder results in the message: "There was an error retrieving your password. No password was sent."

Users are able to request reminders before they are locked out, but as soon as their account is locked, the reminder returns the above message instead. At first, I thought users just couldn't request a reminder while locked out, and that a they would be able to get a reminder as soon as the lockout was automatically lifted, but I've tested this, and it's not true. Even after the lockout is automatically reset, users continue to receive the message and are unable to get a reminder. However, if a user then provides the correct password to login, s/he is able to receive a password reminder again.

Any ideas about what could be going on?

This sounds like a possible bug. Could you log it in the public area of Gemini (http://support.dotnetnuke.com) and include the exact steps you need to do to reproduce the issue. This'll help the core team track it down and get it fixed.

Thanks for the link, Mike. Someone reported this bug previously and it was addressed in release 4.7.0 -- so I just need to upgrade. (I didn't even realize my current version was so old. Time flies.)

If you can I'd upgrade right to 4.8.3.
