Well I'm new to DotNetNuke and portal type programming.  Under the Site Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Page Management, what is the difference between a Splash page, Home page, Login Page, and User Page.  I thought the titles were self explanatory but I created several pages and set each one to a different page to see what happens.  When I set the Login page and the User page nothing happened I still logged on to the Home page as different users.  When I set a different Splash page from the Home page IE could no longer find my DotNetNuke site.  It kept loading as though it was confused and didn't know which page to choose to show first.

What did I do wrong there and what are these pages used for?

Home Page - determines where to go after login/logout I think.  Leave it blank of you want login to just go to original page requested.

User Page - page user is sent to when they click the Register/Username skin object

Login Page - page user is sent to when they click the Login skin object

Splash Page - is supposed to let you specify a page to come up first when someone originally requests your site (splash page).  I haven't experienced what you are talking about.
