I can't seem to figure out how to set up email through DNN.  Currently,

+++I don't receive email notifications when a new user signs up for my site

+++The Newsletter does not work.

Please Help! Thank you in advance.

One more quick tip... the email address specified for the Portal Administrator must be one that is ALLOWED to send mail on that SMTP host.  If not, DNN will think the mail sent properly but when it reaches the mail server it will reject it.

So far I've tried two different email addresses for my portal administrator.  My Godaddy email and my Yahoo email. 

Is there still a problem with Godaddy and DNN version 4?  Is that why the email isn't working?

You need to contact GoDaddy and ask them for the settings.

Most mail servers do not allow mail relay- sending from your server using other email addresses, excepting ones they approve of which allows internal management of the mail sending.

If it's say- yes email sent successfully and not getting to you - then it's merely the correct mail settings you need to check with GoDaddy to get.

Try contacting them for the details.

I've contacted Godaddy about this issue.

They changed my setting to allow SMTP mail relaying.

BUT...I AM STILL NOT GETTING EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS AND MY NEWSLETTER STILL DOESN'T WORK.  So....No change.

Pleaseeeeeee Helllllp......I can't be the only person with this problem....
