Using DNNMenuNavigationProvider I'm attempting to get borders around individual menu items.  The problem is that the border really needs to go around the <tr> element, which is not a block-level element, so it can't have a border.  Declaring the <tr> as a block-level element causes IE to really fowl up.

I've set the page icon to "display: none" and thought about doing this to the submenu indicator, too.  This would allow me to put a border around the <td> element, but would cause me to lose the submenu indicator.

I've tried upgrading to WebControls 2.0 and can get the menu items to have a border no problem.  Unfortunately, these bug out in Safari. I've tried using SolPart, which should also allow this, but SolPart also bugs out in Safari.

Any suggestions?

I assume you are talking about safari 3.

A new version of the webcontrols will be released soon that fixes the safari issue (I assume you don't have a problem with webcontrols.dotnetnuke.com).

If you want, send me an email with the specifics of the environment you are trying to deploy to and I may be able to get you an early copy of the webcontrols to test.
