I've looked extensively and can't find this.  I know 4.8.3 supports VS2008 but can't find any docs on installing it.  I'm completely new to DNN.  I'm running Vista with VS2008 Web Dev Express.  I just want to set up a DNN development installation for evaluation.  Your help is much appreciated.

Are you trying to develop against DNN or install Dotnetnuke to use?  It isn't clear to me?

For what you ask, use the Starter Kit download.  For what you really want, use the Install download.

I'm also having trouble with setting up a site on my PC with VWD Express.  I create a new site, select "DotNetNuke Web Application Framework".  I press Ctrl-F5 - as intructed under Quick Install.  I select "Typical" on the first page of the installation wizard.  I test permissions and all is ok, so I click Next.  I leave the default settings on the "Configure Database Connection" page and click Next.  BUT, the process is stuck at "Run Database Installation Scripts".  The error I get says:

Line: 107
Char: 13
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL: http://localhost:1763/DNN/InstallWizard.aspx

Anyone know what I need to do to complete the installation?

By the way, I should have mentioned that I'm running VWD Express on XP Home Edition... just in case the VWD Express IDE doesn't support DNN.  Hmm...  Would I need to pick up a copy of Vista Business or Ultimate to try DNN on a local machine?
