Hi,

I'm trying to use the "export content" & "import content" functions on a UDT (lastest version of DNN & UDT).  For some reason, when I import same file the I just exported, it loses the sub-folder of where the file is located for a local URL  Below is what the URL looks like when I 1st export in and then what it looks like after an import of the original file and then another export...

1st Export:

     <Download_UDT_Url>/LinkClick.aspx?link=forms%2fEmployee+Benefits+Manual.pdf&amp;tabid=74&amp;mid=421</Download_UDT_Url>

2nd Export (after import of original file):

     <Download_UDT_Url>/LinkClick.aspx?link=Employee+Benefits+Manual.pdf&amp;tabid=74&amp;mid=421</Download_UDT_Url>

Notice the missing folder "forms" folder...

Of course, probably like the rest of the DNN crowd, I'm ran into this problem while trying to create a valid import file so I don't have to put all my data in by hand...

Thanks for any help on this!

Billboe

It is already wrong in case of the first Export.

<test><!--testf.xsl--><a href="/d5/LinkClick.aspx?link=folder%2ffile.txt&tabid=53&mid=383" target="_blank">testf.xsl</a></test>

  <test_UDT_Url>/d5/LinkClick.aspx?link=folder%2ffile.txt&tabid=53&mid=383</test_UDT_Url>
  <test_UDT_Original>file.txt</test_UDT_Original>

I would expect folder/file.txt as value of the Original column. The error seems to be fixed in UDT 3.5.1/ UDT 5.0.0 (both still unreleased)

If you are working on import files, you can safely ignore all hidden columns beside from _UDT_original. Import looks for columname_UDT_Orgiginal columns, if it is not there it takes the value out of columnname.

Thanks Stephan!  Glad I wasn't going crazy!  ;-)

So for importing you can skip ALL hidden columns?  "Created by...", "Changed by...", etc...?

Thanks!

No, the Created/Changed/at/by fields are important. But you can skip all columns ending with _UDT_url/ticks/value
