I downloaded the upgrade for the documents module 04.00.00 and extracted into the documents folder on my dnn server and it is not upgrading.

I am relatively new to dnn and I am not sure I have done it properly.

Anyone help?

Clyde

Modules and module upgrades are generally to be installed by uploading the PA - Private Assembly (a zip file) via the Host, Module Definitions menu. Look for "Install new module" or similar.

You can probably go ahead and upload the new documents module there and it should upgrade it wihout any damage caused by the extraction. Make sure you reapply your DNN system folder and file permissions before doing so just in case they were changed when you extracted the zip.

One additional tip is to always have a look inside any downloaded module archive to ensure that you're uploading the actual PA. Developers sometimes package additonal docs or terms with the PA in a further zip.

Fantastic.  I now have version 04.00.00 of the documents module.

How do I mark your reply as answer?

Thanks much,

Clyde

hmmm good question... I have no idea?

I have seen those answer icons so there must be a way. Maybe it's not on at the moment... the forum is really flakey.

The following post basically outlines how to mark a post as resolved.  Just in case anyone is still wondering.
