Just a recommendation that the favicon and possibly other files that could have been changed for a DNN install not be part of the DNN Upgrade package. This is just on more thing I need to remember to put back as it was after an upgrade.

Maybe someone could confirm this, but I heard once that if you put the favicon at the root of the portals folder, it will take precedence and solve that problem for you,.

If you put your favicon in your portal guid (such as: portals/0or portal/1), this will not be overwritten and does supercede the "root" favicon.
