Hello,

I have followed the DotNetNuke Development Environment Set-up guide step by step and the site runs by itself but when I try to build the site I get 190 errors akin to the following:

Error    1    Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.    \\wts-dbsvr3\c$\Inetpub\wwwroot\controls\urlcontrol.ascx    1

Error    13    Unknown server tag 'dnn:imagecommandcolumn'.    \\wts-dbsvr3\c$\Inetpub\wwwroot\admin\Users\users.ascx    32

Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks for your time.

Are you trying to build the source version? If so did you rename release.config to web.config?

No, I am trying to run the install version in Debug mode so that I can troubleshoot any modules I am creating.

Thanks for the time.

i see from the errors that you're opening the project off a network share. I would therefore assume that you don't have sufficent permissions to open and run a project, thats why you're seeing these errors. You can resolve this by granting your user permissions on the network server either via the .Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration tool in your control panel->administrtive tools menu, or else by running caspol (see Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration). Alternatively (and a lot easier), copy the project to your local machine and open it there

Note: some organisations automatically redirect certain folders to network shares e.g. "my documents" may appear to be on your machine but really is on a network machine

Finally, if you're only looking to debug, then you don't need to open the project you just need to have remote debugging enabled and you can hook into the process.
