At this moment I'm not 100% sure, but hopefully within a week or so.

Hi Cathal,

I have noticed a lot more bug fixes have now been checked in for 4.8.5, any update as to when 4.8.5 may be released???

Thanks

it will for sure take a couple more days to be finished - I personnaly would guess a week or two - and needs to pass staging and dogfooding on www.dotnetnuke.com before getting released.

AFAIR there was some testing going on a number of webfarm related issues (the problem was originally discovered on a client site - so it's not been as quick and easy to ensure the fixes worked and get the results). Whilst this was going on a number of other fixes from 5.0 were backported, and fixes for a few additional issues were discovered (particularly caching issues - the infamous "Generic.Dictionary`2.Insert" issue) and fixed in both 4.8.5 and 5.0. All this has led to more delay, but I would agree with Sebastian that we're still looking at 1-2 weeks. I think the wait should be worth it, as 4.8.5 will be a very solid release, before the big move to 5.0.
