I am trying to move my DNN website to a new server. Both servers are remote with no tolls for sql management. I have moved all the files, changed the conn string in the config file. My problem is i cant figure out how to move the database from one server to another. Can anyone PLEASE offer some help or tutorial?

how is the database connected - using a database or a file name in connection string? in the first case you need support from your hoster, in the second case it gets moved automatically with your files.

I have purchased the evotiva backup module. It will not run on the server as the app keeps restarting according to the log files. We are setting up our own colo and moving to a different server, but in order to do that i need to be able to move this DB. Is anyone aware of some third party software which will connect to a sql server and backup, then restore to a different server easily?
