Ok,

So I read another post on here some time ago about using the Feedback module as a contact us form.  I currently am trying to do this by just deleting the Feedback Comments module and having 3 basic input fields of Email, Name, and Message.  In the Feedback module settings I've configured a Recipient Email address in the "Send To" field, and a Senders Email address in the "Send From" field and I also chose the send copy option so the user would get a copy of the form being sent.  Now I've yet to recieve an email at any email address that i've entered, and I've tried several email addresses, reinstalled the module a few times.  It just doesn't want to do anything.  Is there something obviouse that I'm just completely not seeing?  Will this even work?  Is there a free contact us form module?

Thanks in advance!

  1. check the site log to see if any errors are being generated
  2. ensure that in the SMTP server settings in the host settings are entered and valid (send a test from that page)
  3. if no to 1 above and everything works in 2, check the spam folder of the recipient email address.
  4. if not in the spam folder try sending to an address that uses a different mail server.
  5. still no joy try changing the SMTP server settings to another mail server.

Hope this is some help

There's a good basic form available for free from orizonti.com

as the other user pointed out, please confirm that you've setup the SMTP settings correctly to start with. If you can confirm your error logs not having any values, let me know and I'll try to assist you further to resolve the issue.. What you're trying to do is achievable using the standard feedback module.
Thanks

Sanjay

If you're not getting the email, a new module won't help.  Look at the logs, especially for your SMTP server, and see what's going on.
