Hello Everyone!

I want to create a single user on my website as an admin and it should work on all the portals of my site. for example i have a website named ABC.com and it have 3 portals named portal1,portal2 and portal3. i have created a user named portal1_user in my portal1. now i want to share that same user (portal1_user) with portal2 and portal3.

please let me know if i can do this using SQL Server 2005. coz i cannot do this using normal DNN ways.

Thanx in advance

It is possible using SQL though not recommended... as it may have some unforseen affects on modules.... I'd recommend DNN Masters -  Multi Portal User Sharing Extreme.
But for a dirty work around you can do the following:

Insert a new row into UserPortals witht the user id and the next portal Id and set authroised to true.

You can then add the user manually to the administrators group in dnn or if you know the Id of the role you can add a row in User roles.

Hope that helps

John

May be you like Portal Single Sign On from Work Control. They allow "...single-sign-on account to login to multi-portals".

Hope it helps.
