I would like to have folders created for the users on my page and have any uploads from the user be placed in that folder and I would like to restrict access to these folder to the user and my administrators only.  Is there a way to do this in dotnetnuke?

Probably.  :)

I'd take a look at some of the Smart Thinker modules that replicate a Facebook/MySpace/etc. environment to see if they do what you need.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping for something that would work in all the modules.  Bassically something within DNN that would tell the modules where to put their files.  I think DNN has a default setting for file locations but I'm not sure if I'm right, and Im also not sure if it can be or is connected with the user at all.  I've just noticed that the modules seem to all drop files in the same location no matter the user and so even though I can change securtiy on what pages or modules a person can see, if they can access the files of other users or even dnn files from the browse when uploading a file it doesn't seem to be much protection.

Greg,

current UrlControl in the core framework does not support default folder, we are currently working on a more powerful successor for DNN 5.x (x > 0!)
