in short, you can't. DotNetNuke requires SQL 2000 or above, it is not compatible with SQL 7. If you can't upgrade to SQL 2000, you might consider MSDE 2000/SQL Express, which are both free and work with DotNetNuke.

Thanks Cathal, but if for some reason we can not install the MSDE or SQL Express as our company's  Windows 2000 Server is live server.
in short, can we use the older version of DNN like 3.x or 4.0.x etc. in the same server configuration as mention above?

AFAIR only the very early versions such as 1.0.4 supported SQL 7, but it's a couple of years old and bears no relation to modern day dotnetnuke. Alternatively you might consider running 2.12 which can use Microsoft Access as it's database.

Thanks - Cathal,

Good to hear that we can use other Databases with DNN as MS Access, but not sure can we use MS Access with DNN 4.x versions?

Well can we use the Oracle 9i or 10g with DNN 4.x.

In our case we have Oracle 9i and 10g both on different server and we can use it... but need to know how we can use the Oracle with DNN?

Best Regards,
Muzammil
