I was wondering if there was a way to make a change to a dnn portal be a global change throughout all it's child portals.  What I want to be able to do is add features (modules) to one of my pages and have that same module (or page even) added to all of the sites child portals. Is there any way to do this automatically in DNN?

Greg,

Currently this kind of task is not a feature within DNN (that I know of). I can speculate that the main purpose of providing multiple portals is because each portal will be diffferent. The amount of features in DNN that address the use case scenario of sharing content between portals will be slim to none because this is not the intent of setting up multiple portals. If you find yourself often trying to synchronize content between portals - you may ask yourself if they should be separate portals.

However, the built in templating functionality within DNN can give you assistance in manually performing tasks such as the one you brought up. Perhaps exporting a page template and importing that into your child portals would be an acceptable solution?

Take care,

Ian
