hi

i get fed with DNN insatlation . there is not setup file for DOT NET NUKE

 CAN ANY HAVE THE RIGHT WEB.CONFIQ FILE SO I CAN USE / SEE WHAT CHANGE TO BE MADE

 AT-LEAST I HAVE THE RIGHT CONFIQ FILSE , WHICH HELP ME IN CHECK THAT I AM GOING IN RIGHT WAY OF INSATLLATION

release.config -  change name to web.config

put your db settings and password in

that is the web.config.  It is release.config because sometimes people write over their file and dnn does not work.

Installation file says - rename release.config to web.config file when installing.

I hope this helps you - we know what it is like to have bad times gettingi DNN working.

thanks for your help . i was really helpfull but can u tell me about db

i have both of SQl insatll on my pc sql 2000 & sql 2005 which one is help full for me  whiles using vs2005 .

i bit confuseed in making database in both sql s.

VS2005 needs to work with SQL2005 so you need to set your db connections there.

I do not write code, so I put in SQL2000 and simply create portal, but if you want to write code for aspnet2, you need to install DNN 4.0.2, with SQL2005 & VS2005.
