Hi

how to install dnn on host

after copy files on my host, and run dnn, display this message:

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File --> <configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/> </system.web> </configuration>

Please help me

Hsh,

I would suggest changing the "RemoteOnly" in your web.config to "Off" -- this should allow you to see a more explicit error message. If that doesn't help you clear things up - please report back and let us know what the new error message is.

Take care,

Ian

We changed our settings to 'Off' and are still seeing the same page - is it possible that the web.congif file is being stored in a cache and the updated file is not getting through?

Thanks!

Jeff

Typically the issue if you still see the error is that the asp.net version is incorrectly set to 1.1 when DNN 4.x needs 2.0.
