Is it possible to determine when a page was last updated? Is this information stored in the database on a per page (not module) basis? i.e. if a page in anyway has been updated whether by adding, updating, or deleting a module that sits on that page.

Thanks.

Derek

there is no page information and IMHO it would not make sense, since modules can be updated on a page and get displayed on multiple pages - how shall those pages get to know about?

If you go to 'edit log settings' in the event viewer, you can add new log entries for tab and module updates. This will record modules and pages are added and removed, but won't record changes to module content.

The reasoning behind this is so a page view would be able to determine if anything on a page has recently changed, for example using DNN as a CMS a page viewer may want to know the last time a page was updated so he can determine the merit of information on a page, an event may have taken place and information may have been accurate prior to the event but after the event the information is no longer accurate,  being able to view a "timestamp" of when the page was last updated can make the user aware that the information on the page was accurate as of a certain date?

In DNN, is there a way to track when the last time a module was updated, is this information stored in the DB?  With this you could possibly deduct that a particular module has been changed and that module sits on one or several pages and theoretically be able to determine when a page was last updated?

Is this information available in the database?

Thanks.

Is this infomation stored in any other location?  I assume that in the event that the event log is cleared this information would be gone?  Also you mentioned that it would not record changes to module content, is this information stored anywhere else in the DNN database?

Thanks.
