Im currently putting together a site where there are "master" categories which are not selectable (pages that are marked as "not visible" under advanced settings) and multiple sub categories which reside under these master categories.

I have two navigation menus- standard nav menu which only displays the master categories and a tree nav menu which displays the sub categories. The problem im having is that when a sub category is selected, the master category is not registered as the "selected" state for the standard nav menu. what exactly has to be done to make this so?

thankyou in advance for any help given
