Did you disable (unchecked Enabled) the Standard DNN Login under Admin->Authentication perchance?

Things to try, change the Authentication Type back to Delegation, make sure Root Doman is entered as dc=domain, dc=com (or whatever your domain address is),  blank out the Auto Login IP for now (let's get it working before customizing it).

When you click on Update Settings you're getting all okays correct? No errors right?

Mike,

To get back in to change this, i have to go into the database table and set the ad provider to false, otherwise, the login form just keeps saying login failed. When i do this to get into the settings page I was getting errors, following your instructions, i now have the settings below and i am getting all green and ok:

Authentication Type = Delegation

Root Domain = DC=domain name

User name = domain\user name

Password/check password = blank

Email domain = blank

Auto Login IP = blank

It sounds like you've disabled the Standard DNN login. The standard login automatically gets loaded if no other providers are enabled which is why you can login when you've set the provider to False in the database. For now when you're on the Authentication page make sure both the DNN Standard and the AD Provider are set to Enabled. Then when you go to the Login page you should see both Login options.

Mike,

I see both login buttons now, but, the windows login still does not let me in or add me to the user's table. I am filling out the user name field with DOMAIN\USER and the password field with my windows password.

Okay now we're making progress. What error are you getting when you try to login? Anything? Also after a failed login can you check the Event Viewer to see what it says under there?
