Was that on an automatic or manual login attempt? Actually, now that I think of it, are you able to login manually now?

Mike,

Manual login, automatic does not seem to be working. I can login manually now though. I get both buttons and i can still login as host using the standard button, which is an improvement! The windows login button just gives me the standard login failed error as detailed earlier in this thread.

Okay, now we've narrowed down the problem quite a bit. We know now that the provider isn't authenticating against the AD for one reason or another. If we can get that figured out we should be able to beat it. I'll look back at your previous posts to see if I can figure out where to go next.

Just did a quick read through of your previous posts and have a few questions:

Is the server on the domain? Do you get all "Okays" when you click on Update Settings under Admin->Authentication? Is the password you're using when manually logging have at least 7 characters in the password (that's the default DNN setting, if you don't have 7 then we can change that in the web.config)? Have you tried using impersonation in your web.config as outlined in the user guide?

I think that's all for now.

Hi Mike,

This is what i get when i hit update, i have changed the domain names for security:

Accessing Global Catalog:
OK
Checking Root Domain:
OK
Accessing LDAP:
OK
Find all domains in network:
1 Domain(s):
nt.com (DOMAIN)

The user name and password we use are used by other systems that use LDAP to query AD for domain users details and this user works fine. The password is 11 characters in length.
