Was looking over digMeta and MetaPost to implement for my DNN site.  Both look like excellent solutions. Trying to figure out which one I want to use, just wondering who used both and which one they like the best?  As for the license agreement with digmeta the standard version. I see that it can only be used for one DNN installation. So if I would implement a DNN installation on a subdomain.  I guess I would need to buy the enterprise license?

Cheers

-Justin

Hi Justin,

since some months I am a happy user of metaPost. I did not try digMeta, but I can tell you about my experience with metaPost: it is simply awesome! Take a look at my website http://www.dariorossa.it and look what kind of web 2.0 features you can drop in a blog without any experience. Support from IT Crossing is incredible: they can fix any issue in a few ours, but more often they fix them even earlier that you can realize. It comes out of the box with a dozen of providers, to start posting with WLW to different modules, even 3rd party ones. I strongly suggest you to try metaPost Community Edition from Snowcovered, that is free. The Professional Edition adds great enhancements, so I may say that it is really worth double its price.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Justin,

digMeta standard can be used for unlimited portals (child and parent) so long as they are in the same DNN install.  If you have multiple DNN installs and multiple databases, you need a digMeta standard license for each one, or like you mentioned Enterprise would cover all your DNN installs.  You can create an account on dignuke.com and try it out yourself to see if it meets your needs.  We just released an update that has plugins for our digRotate and digScatter modules.

Thanks,
Mike
