i would recommend downloading a client-side debugger like Firebug so you can see all the assets you're pulling in.  7.51mb for a homepage is one the craziest i've seen.

I just installed Firebug like CurlyFro mentioned as well as tried moving modules from the page to see what their sizes are. When I was looking at the Firebug results it shows that a file called "ScriptResource.axd" takes 21.38s and "WebResource.axd" 21.45s to load. All of the rest of the files are ms. What can I do about this?

After removing most of the modules from the page, it was still very slow. For the heck of it I went into my web.config and commented out page blaster and my scriptresources went down to 500ms and 32ms and the webresources went down to 31ms...
