ok it looks like I'm having this same error - didn't read this thread close enough so I posted in someone else's thread who had this same issue...

I don't know when it started, but for the record, my DNN install is about 6 months old - started on 4.0.something - and I've been upgrading each time a new version is released.  We didn't start using the gallery until about maybe 2 weeks ago... i'm running gallery version 3.01.12

DB is SQL 2000...

Thanks,

Chavous

Hi,

I did a fresh install with the original DB Settings (not the DB connect string for legacy) and it seems to be working. It therefore seems to be a problem with creating a DB before settign up DNN.

I will try doing it with the legacy connect string and see if this is the problem.

Are there still any work around this issue?

Thanks,

Igor

anyone been able to get a work-around going for this?  Or perhaps a solution to the issue?

I am getting the same error message.  When running SQL Profiler, the error ocurrs when the following statement is run:

exec dbo.AddModuleSetting @ModuleId = 0, @SettingName = N'Provider', @SettingValue = N''

The error is ocurring because a constraint states that a moduleid has to exist in the modules table for an entry to be created in the modulesettings table.  There is no module 0.  Why is the gallery doing an insert for Provider on module 0?

Should we find out an answer to this, the problem will be close to being solved. Are you sure about those values in the parameters? That's awfully strange. I have limited access to my SQL server with my host, could you possibly post the stored procedure. I'm going to see what I can find in the source code of the module. Perhaps it's a way that the code is calling this stored procedure. It doesn't seem logical to make pass a 0 in that ModuleId parameter. Perhaps a variable is not getting set properly... la la la...
