Hello:

Is it possible to categorize the downloads with the Repository? I do need the facility to show downloads by categories, and the user can choose the category he wants and then downloads the files from it.

Is that possible with Repository?

Thanks,

Does this facility exist?

Thanks,

not entirely sure what you're asking ..

Categories are used to 'categorize' the downloads .. so that the user can select a category and only view downloads in that category.

Can you explain in more detail what you are looking to do?

Hello Steve:

Thanks for replying back.

I do publish lots of presentations online for presenter here. So I need a way to list all authors, and once an author is clicked, the Repository shows files for that author only.

Is this better now?

Thanks,

Hi,

I would suggest in addition to your Repository that you add a Repository Dashboard module to your pages that shows the categories (authors).  That way, it will stay on the page regardless of the current display state of the actual Repository.  See if that does what you want?

Roberta
