samer kh,

Speaking technically, there is a junction table in the database called UserPortals in which a user will have a row for each portal that they belong to. You can add a row to this table for each portal that you would like to give a user access to.

The reason that this type of activity (registering people in multiple portals) isn't an out of the box feature is that it goes a little against the grain of DNN in that the general use case for multiple portals is to keep things separate  - so if they need to share users, the portals may in fact be better suited to being a single portal.

Also, I believe at one time it was the case that if you registered in both portals with the same username/password that it would actually just insert a row into the userportals table and not create a new account. I don't know if this is still the case - can someone confirm that for me?

Thanks,

Ian
