The following message continues to show up in my event log on a regular basis and can't seem to figure out what is causing it:  Shutdown Details: The AppDomain shut down because of the hosting environment.  Im not really sure what it could be other than IIS recycling services, but I not sure what is causing it.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Derek

That message typically appears because the application has recycled.  The reason it mentions the hosting environment is because the hosting environment can possible set this to happen at specific intervals.

Here is a post that talks about this briefly:

You can lower the  number of times this happens, and make your site more responsive by utilizing a "keep alive" service of some kind.  Two of the more popular ones are:

http://www.host-tracker.com

http://www.siteuptime.com

Personally, I think it would be pretty cool if DNN Corp could spin of its own keep a live service focused on DNN sites.

Thanks.  I had a funny feeling it was IIS recycling but I was not sure.

Thanks again.
