MY site log is not catching everything. I went through several pages and then looked at the sitelog and only one page was logged. It also didn't write the records immediately. I also have another portal on this same dnn installation where the sitelog works very sporadically. I'm wondering if there is a caching option or scheduled task that I am missing.

dnn version 4.8.1

sql server 2000

The delayed log writing can be explained by your Host Settings.  Check to see if your Host Settings wait until a certain number before logging the errors.

Check:  Advanced Settings > Other Settings > Site Log Buffer (Items)

It is unchecked. From the description, it should be writing immediately. It's not that it is writing the records late, which it is also doing, but, that it does not write some records at all. One thing that might be coming into play is that the database server is in a totally different part of the country thatn the webserver. Could this cause latency and records being dropped?

Absolutely.  However, I wouldn't expect to see as many records drop as you make it sound like.

We are going to be putting it all under "one roof" soon. I think there are a few things that may clear up when we do that. The users online module is not working either.
