Hey everyone! Still relatively new to DNN so hopefully someone here can help. We've got a skin that we bought (ProBusiness by DNNSoul) and I need to change the graphics that are part of the flash animation at the top. We got the source code too, so I grab the file, dump it into Adobe Flash, and edit it accordingly.

The flash movie works fine on its own. So, I zip it up and upload it to our DNN portal and it doesn't work properly. I looked through about 25 pages on within this forum (not going through all 300+...), and haven't found the answer.

When I upload I can get the screen where it shows previews for the skin, where I have the option to choose fixed width static, variable width, etc, but when I do preview it the flash animation is not there. I've checked and confirmed by reading the other threads that everything is zipped up just like it was for the original skin, so I have no idea what could be causing this to happen?

If you have any ideas, thanks in advance!

If you export your flash swf file with the same name as the one in your skin zip then all you need to do is to create a copy of the original skin and drop the new swf file in the copy and so long it has the same name then once you upload your coppied skin you should get it to work

It sounds like a directory path problem, check your paths in the flash code.

Enjoy

Yeah, apparently in this case I had to unzip the entire file, put every item on the desktop (only way it would accept it), and re-zip with my new flash file. Seems strange but it worked. Thanks guys.

Ack! Now of course there's another issue. With the current site, the background for the flash animation is black. I wanted to change it to grey to better fit our color scheme. I edited the flash movie, and that works fine, but when I upload it to DNN the background is still black. I've cleared the cache, double checked the flash file, sifted through the other skin items to see if it is defaulting somehow, etc. I don't know, if screencaps of any portion of this would help you guys help me, what would you need to see?

Thanks.
