I have read your entry with interest. I seem to get stuck at the same place: I am using XP Pro, and I DO NOT HAVE THE SECURTIY TAB. I followed your instructions about setting the "simple" security on the Folders Option, but that did not seem to work for me.

  1. Set up File Access
  2. .......
  3. Right click on the “Website” folder and select “Properties”
  4. On the “Security” tab, click “Add”

The problem that I have is that some things are missing- and I have traced them back to the install. The install is not working correctly for me, and this looks like where my problem lies.
