Everything seems t obe working on my move from live to local, except that some of my links off my home page fail to redirect correctly.

I noticed that the register; login;links; about us.....

It looks like those that follow the URL format of Default.aspx?tabid=61 work, it is those URLs that follow Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fDefault.aspx  are the ones that fail.

Clues

Any clues?

More info on this one.

If I click on a link on the site it takes me to http://192.168.0.10/Membership/tabid/64/Default.aspx, which fails, but if I go to
http://192.168.0.10:8080/Default.aspx?tabid=64 it produces the correct page.

This is on the local server, the link on the live server is http://192.168.0.10/Membership/tabid/64/Default.aspx and it works. So this is telling me that there is something missing or not configured correctly on the local server. Something to do with redirects or SEO links.

Any clues?

It *sounds* like your local IIS is listenening on the wrong port. The link that is working is using port 8080, while the one without it of course is going to default to port 80. If IIS is not listening on port 80, it won't find the page.

Also, maybe try turning on friendly URLs in the Host Settings?

Good catch airpanther. The port is missing from some of the menu items. So if I add :8080 the missing links, they work. That lead me to do so more looking and I discovered that the broken links are A) all missing the :8080 and if I click on the link and add :8080 to the URL, they work. B) The broken links are also part of a dynamic menu. The static menu links are all golden.

So with that discovery, how and where do I fix the menus at. I wonder if they are hard coded someplace? Clues?
