Hello,

I am using Gallery 03.01.12 on DNN 4.8.4 and getting 404s when clicking through the paging links:

This URL is generated by the module for paging: ( i.e. Page: 1 2 ... 4 5 Next) and results in a 404:
/ArticleName/tabid/999/path/%20/currentstrip/5/Default.aspx

Does anyone know why  the /%20 (space) is inserted in th URL like this, and if there is a fix ?

The %20 is the encoded value for a space, which results from an empty parameter value. This has already been fixed and will be included in the next release. Sadly, the only workarounds are not completely acceptable.

  1. Disable FURLs, or
  2. ask users to replace %20 with a plus sign ('+')

Gallery should not recommended for production in the DNN 3+ versions, it worked with some "acceptable" bugs in DNN 2.

heh.... I just had to respond to this one.

I would suggest you check ANY of the other articles in the Gallery forum.  As about 80% of the articles in the support forum are of people asking this EXACT same question.

In short, the Gallery 3.1.12 is beta, it has an issue with DNN 4.6 or higher (can't remember the exact version it broke in).  The only way to somewhat fix it is to turn off "friendly URL's" in DNN.  Note: turning this off breaks some other modules.
