I have restored the dnn sql database and created the dnn website. I have some portals already created which I wish to delete. However, when I try to delete, I get the below error. I dont understand why it is trying to access the path '\_db_backup' . The only reason the folder '\_db_backup' exists on godaddy root account is to back up and restore databases. How is this linked to the module accessing the folder. Because once the database is restored, there is no use of this folder. Infact when godaddy account is setup this folder doesn't even exist. It is just created for the first time when the sql database backup is carried out.

Just started providing DotNetNuke to my clients and getting a lot of work orders. Things are looking good and then this ....

I am having the same issue with www.GoNewTerra.com, when I attempt to delete a parent portal, the error is generated.

Can anyone tell me if the code could be modified somehow in order to exclude the _db_backups folder during Portal Deletion?

Thank you, your assistance would be much appreciated.

Does anyone know why the code iterates through all the root folders even if one of the folders does not belong to the dnn framework ?

I think I found the code that does this and would it be any harm to hard code to exclude that one folder that is keeping me from deleting portals?

Thank you and sorry for harping on this. It must be a common problem.

Jorge
