please include the complete error message, but I assume, your web.config is missing or there are 2 in your installation.

The whole situation is this. I am using Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2000

I had an installation of dotnetnuke framework on the system located at C:\DotNetNuke which I didnt install, but when I tried to build the website it gave me tons of error so I thought that I will install a new version of the framework.

So here is what I did. Someone told me that I can have multiple framework so long as I create different databases and create different virtual directory in IIS. So I installed the new version at location C:\DNN , created a new table called Website and a new virtual directory called DotNetNukeP pointing to this location. When I went to http://localhost/DotNetNukeP It threw the error shown above for the config object.

I really appreciate all the help and I am new to this whole environment.

I highly recommend following an installation guide to ensure that you have the proper setup, I have a guide available on my site (http://www.mitchelsellers.com/blogs.aspx).
