Hi,

I am building a website for a client and currently working on the blog module. The issue I am having is this:

The client wants to receive an email notifcation when a comment is posted AND he wants to be able to approve the comment before it is actually posted.
Not a problem in the blog module but this means (as far as I understand) I have to give him admin access and that is something I do not want.
Am I missing something here or does this have to be customised?
Ideally, I want the webmaster role to be able to approve comments.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Cheers,

Niels

Bloggers don't need to be Administrators to have the ability to approve comments. They can do this by editing their blog settings. Check out this tutorial for details http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Knowledge/DotNetNukeOnlineHelp/tabid/787/TID/2809/cid/368/Default.aspx

Hi Lorraine,

Thank you for your response. I have done those settings but the webmaster role is not allowed to approved those comments. Only when I log in as host/admin the "approval section" shows up.

Can it be that only the person who created the blog (me in this case, so the administrator) can approve comments? The email notification goes to the email address that belong to the administrator as well. I can change that of course, altough not recommended.
As far as I understand the webmaster rols can not create blogs, only the admin! Quick example: when I log in as admin I see 10 comments, 5 posted and 5 yet to be approved. When I log on as webmaster I only see the 5 already posted comments.

I might be wrong here and I hope you can help me out.

Cheers
