Is there any way of allowing users to create and edit their own albums and to allow others to view them?

I too am very interested in an answer to this question.
Is there a way I can set up the roles/permissions so users can only add pics to a User Album and no others?

Has there been and answer to this?  How about an alternative soultion/third party module?  I imagine this is a very popular request.

I am not sure this is what I was referring to.  I do not see any support for album creation/maint based on specific users.  For example, User A creates his own albumand uploads pictures.  All other users have view access to this only.

Surely there is SOMETHING out there that can do this?
