Hi All,

If I try to upload an Avatar file to Portals\0\Forums\UserAvatar using DNN's file manager, it works fine.

However, if I try to upload the very same avatar using the forums module's avatar uploader, I get the error:

"You Do Not Have Sufficient Permission To Write To Folder Forums/UserAvatar/. Please Contact Your Hosting Provider To Ensure The Appropriate Security Settings Have Been Enabled On The Server."

So, what's going on?  They're both trying to write to the same location, right?  I only have on Portal (with ID 0).

Yes, sorry I didn't post a followup here.

Click on "files" in the upper right, navigate to the folder you're putting the avatars into, click on it, and then scroll down to "Folder Security Settings" (which appears beneath the file manager), and make sure that either the appropriate groups have write permissions on that folder.  The simplest thing to do would be to give Registered Users write access.

I had the same problem, and even as an administrator I couldn't upload my avatar. I had to change the setting for the location of the folder in the Avatars Admin setting for that folder. I had to change it to Portals/0/Forums/UserAvatar/ and then make sure the folder exists.  And, yes, make sure that users have permission on that folder.
