Hey Chris - no problem - still makes sense to log (and discuss the bugs) - just frustrating because the module is pretty cool and yet rendered almost unusable by a few bugs!

I know you guys are working as hard as you can!

We use this module and are getting the same bug.  "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."  And we have it on several customer sites.  It is causing us a lot of problems.  The gallery works great for a while, then all of a sudden it stops completely with this error.  This sucks..

I do hope someone can find an answer.  Upgrading isn't a good alternative.

Thanks,

The Gallery module is still a Beta module, so it is not really intended for production sites. Having said that, the next version of the module will use a DataProvider which should solve most current bugs. Remaining bugs should be worked out inmediately after this conversion. No additional features are expected to be added for the next release. Please be aware that there's no ETA for the next release.

The bug I am experiencing goes this way.  We load our albums with our photos and it works great for months.  Then one day, it is no longer viewable.  And the only solution we have found is to delete the entire gallery.  Then add a new one and reload.  That is not good at all.  Considering some people like photos.

If all the photos are still in the file manager and in the gallery folders, can't we bring them back into a new gallery, without reloading all of them?  If we could do that, then we could make this work.  Otherwise this is not a good choice for us.  But it works great on several other sites and for years already.

Thanks for the help..

Is there a good other choice for a photo gallery in DNN 3?

We would go there.  It could be simpler allowing the users to upload photos, organize them in albums, and manage them within their modules.

Thanks,
