I want to modify some  code in my cht forum but I found when I install source code version(a install version installed), system still load install version components. Is there any way to convert install version to source version? What should I do? Thank you~~

I don't suggest doing developing on a production instance!   A upgrade prgress on a same version of a module would not running.  I suggest do a local developer instance and make there your changes. Then build a new version and upload the PA.

Eric, I agree with Matthias that you should develop on production sites. If you want to develop you should work on a local instance. You can install either source or install to start with, if you did install just install source over top of it and the files are all there. One note though, you will need VS 2005 w/ SP 1 or VS 2008 to work with this. It is not possible to work on this project with Express editions of VS.
