Just found it - I had set the Splash page to Home, under Site Settings. No more redirecting now Thanks for your help!

I Have this same problem!

I have a page with one "Account Login" module, and many other modules which are viewable by "Registered Users".
(when a user successfully logs in, I want them to remain on the same page)

When a user logs in using my account login module, they are redirected to my "HOME" page.
As noted above, I do have a "SPLASH" page set, but it isn't my home page, and that isn't the page they are getting redirected to (nor do I want them to)

I do not have any settings for redirect to page after login, logout or register.

any help?

Hi,

Try this. In Admin Setting don't define a login page. Now there may be few senarious

1. User is at page some page and click login:- In this case login control will be display will following URL. Please not it has a returnurl query string parameter. The login control will automatically display by Dotnetnuke because URL has "ctl/Login".

http://www.laksha.net/cms/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fcms%2fDefault.aspx%3fTabID%3d77

2. In another senario User try to access a secure page (page that has access to only few roles). In this case login control will display on the page which user try to access and URL will be as bellow.

http://www.laksha.net/cms/AboutUs/tabid/79/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fcms%2fAboutUs%2ftabid%2f79%2fDefault.aspx

In both this senarios user will automatically redirect to the page he was accessing before try to login.

Hope I try to address the issue you facing and info will help.
