I design a a set of UserControls with intention for sharing. I put this set of UCs under controls\TLM along alongside App_LocalResources. But the following localization will not work:

<asp:Button ID="btnReset" runat="server" Style="margin-left: 12px"  resourcekey="btnReset" OnClick="btnReset_Click" ValidationGroup="TableSettings" />

where btnReset.Text is defined at TableSettings.ascx.resx that is copied from a ASP.NET resource file.

I cannot figure out what is worng; please give me some hints.

I'm assuming you're reusing the control in different places.

In Page_Load event handler of your control, add this line:

LocalResourceFile = Localization.GetResourceFile(this, "YourControlName.ascx");
