Hi. I've just installed DotNetNuke 4 at www.grommetsonline.info

but it comes up with an error that says '

Nothing To Install At This Time

Current Assembly Version: 04.00.02

Current Database Version: 04.00.02

why is it doing this? i have installed it once before, and someone else made an error and ruined something and i couldnt figure out how to fix it, so i deleted that version with my ftp and put it up again.

do i have to delete the old database and make a new one?

You need to check in your install folder that the dnn.config file has been removed.

This is a common error for those who are installing for the second time, since it will check to see if the dnn.config file exists first to make sure you're not installing an older version (I might be wrong on that last thought)

So, delete that file and try again.

Thanks Nina, but that file doesnt seem to exist.
Any other suggestions?

hmm. did you do a clean install? including drop the db and folders?

There is an "InstallationDate" key missing under "appSettings" for version 4.

<add key="InstallationDate" value="10/24/2005" />

Does not appear in any of the current web.config files for version 4 but upgrades do not seem to be happy without it.  "Nothing to update" went away when I added it.

That took a few days to find.
