Is there a method to permanently ban a user via their IP address? I have a user causing problems and need to ban them.

If God does not live in Colorado, I bet he visits there a lot!!

Hey Darnell,

You can do this for your website with only a few clicks in IIS. You may or may not have access to do this though. If you don't, try contacting your hosting provider and asking them to perform the update (if they resist, tell them how easy it is!).

To do it yourself, go to the web site in IIS, right click, select properties, click the directory security tab, in the "IP address and domain name restrictions" section click the "edit" button. Check the "Denied Access" radio button, and then click the "Add" button, type in the user's IP address and update!

Hope that helps,

Ian
