What do you think is the best way to share source code over the internet if you use Visual Studio .Net 2005 Professional? Whats the best way for a software developer team to work together on a software project over the internet? Thanks.

I'm looking for a free and easy way to share source code with other developers over the internet.

If the project is Open Source then CodePlex.com offers Team Foundation Server (scaled down version) for free.

Generally how does sharing source code work with Team Foundation Server? If codeplex hosts the server for you does that mean you only have to install a source control client? Does Visual Studio include a source control client? Does sharing source code mean that when you make a change in the source code the update is made on the server? How does it make it easier to manage the software project over the internet?
