Hello everyone,

I have just successfully installed 4.08.04 and my home page is displayed. However, if I click on a site specific link like 'Login', 'Register', 'Search', or even the 'Home' link, I get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

I have searched everywhere for a workaround for this with no luck.

I am using Vista/IIS 7

Thanks

Ok, I figured out what the problem is, but I don't know how to fix it.

I have this setup in IIS and VS Property Pages to run on port 82. When I click on a link like Login, the URL shows http://localhost/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fdefault.aspx. That's why it can't find it. It doesn't have the port in the URL.

If I change the url to include the port - http://localhost:82/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fdefault.aspx it works just fine, but i'm not sure how to make sure every link includes the port.

Thanks,

RaynMan

Hi,

I have similar problem. I have Vista/IIS 7. I passed the install proces succesfully but when I try to browse the portal, Internet Explore start to load the page but never show the page. It does not even show timeout or some error. Just say waiting on.....

Have anyone else have experienced this situation?

Thanks

I think you need to setup a Portal Alias for this.

  1. Log in as Host
  2. Go to the Host Menu and click on Portals
  3. Select the portal that uses the unique port
  4. At the bottom of the page add a portal alias for http://localhost:82

I think that will fix it.
