I have Existing portal in the parent (root ) of the Dotnetnuke as default when installed...

My problem occured when I tried to install a new portal in the parent (root ) using the wizered ( without un install the prev. one)

after that I found it overwrite it .. ( my aim was i want to install a new one in the root too )

any how .. when I found so .., I deleted the new one ...

then It seems that it deleted/damaged the primary .., how to solve !

--------

is the solution is Install it again ( overwrite it .. so it help to restore the data or it deleted all data in the modules (contents too ) ?

Your best bet will be to ask your host, if you have one, to restore the file system and database back a day or two to before you did this. Most hosts can do this, though sometimes there's a fee.

Make a backup of the damaged file system and db just in case you have to try and retrieve any information or files.

Each DNN instance requires its own set of files and its own database. However, each DNN instance can also run more than one website (portal) off the same files and database. These are two very different ways of building new DNN portals.
