check the portal alias table and make sure you have it entered correctly - if you are using ports other then 80 then make the change in web.config uncomment the ports statement - do a search for port in notepad -

I have dnn setup on Vista home using Cassini for both asp.net 1 and 2  and it runs perfectly.
