I've got a DNN site (v 4.7.00) running Active Directory authentication and recently I've been experiencing file permission errors.

I can set view/update permissions on a folder(s) and the next day, they will be reset.

From File Manager, I can assign separate View / Write permission off of the Root folder and they will eventually reset to Admin only.

This issue also effects any iframe and .html report templates that are viewable off the root folder. Any iframe or Reports modules stop working/show errors because they don't have permission to view the assigned file anymore.

On the reports module instance, when I go into the settings and Active Visualizer is set to HTML Template Visualizer, I see this error under the Template File: heading

-- You don't have permission to see the files on the site --

Any help or ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

make sure to disable scheduler job for file sync, I suggest to use auto sync (in host settings) instead.

I just upgraded to 4.8.4 and disabled the file sync job ( I noticed a lot of errors for that job in the Event Log).

We'll see what happens. Thanks
